Stone Cutting

Once you are finished collecting your stones, we can cut and polish them to create beautiful and radiant gemstones. If you want to take it a step further, we can then set your stones into eye-catching jewelry pieces.

This process is known as the art of lapidary and is the basis of our founder’s original passion for working with rough gem stones, and was the motivation for opening Foggy Mountain Gem Mine. Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in deciding on which gem cut you want for setting into jewelry.

Foggy Mountain Gem Mine offers a first class stone cutting service to our customers. Once you have enjoyed our mining experience and discovered the rough stones in your bucket of choice, our trained staff will help you sort and identify your finds, we will then advise you on which of your stones are the best to polish and cut into gems for making stunning jewelry. We will then take your order to create custom pieces of jewelry which will last a lifetime. Our stone cutting services are also available for rough stones that you might already have. These services are offered on a per quote basis.
